Τhe Centre for Gender Studies of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in collaboration with the Center for Gender Studies of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology invites you to the 3rd Online Lecture of the project ProGender: A Digital Hub on Gender, the Covid-19 Crisis and its Aftermath entitled “Women scientists during the pandemic“, on Monday 12 April 2021, 16:00 – 17:30 CET (14:00pm Iceland, 16:00pm Norway).

In recent years, the issue of women in science has become an important theme in the European agenda. A gender perspective could lead to new approaches to the research problems and dilemmas that have been created by the COVID-19 pandemic. From statistics it is clear that gender, race and class play an important role in COVID-19 infection and death rates. The lecture will analyze the effects on the work of women scientists in the new conditions.  

In the lecture the Norwegian Ambassador to Greece Mr Frode Overland Andersen, will have a welcome speech 

Online Lecture:

  • Sofia Moratti, Senior Researcher, Centre for Gender Research and Centre for Technology and Society, Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

The lecture will be conducted in English.
