Panteion University is located on Syngrou Avenue, Kallithea, close to the centre of Athens. The privately-owned facilities encompass three buildings, constructed at different eras, and beautiful gardens, making up a quaint campus. The oldest building is the administration building, which houses the rectorate, the administrative services, the library, the department secretariats and the events hall, where graduation ceremonies and other official events take place. The second oldest building is the so-called “glass building” or Stasinopoulos wing, which houses classrooms, labs and professors’ offices, mainly for the Departments of Public Administration, and International, European and Area Studies. The newest building, also known as the “new building” or the “seven-storey building”, houses professors’ offices from all Panteion departments, classrooms, labs and large auditoriums for lectures or conferences. The student restaurant is also housed in a building owned by Panteion on Lagoumitzi Street, while the University leases a building on 29 Aristotelous Street, which houses the professors’ offices for the Economic and Regional Development Department. The Social Policy Laboratory (KEKMOKOP) and the Regional Development Institute are housed in their own buildings on Syngrou Avenue, next to Panteion. The Panteion Gym operates in the old Oasis Cinema in Neos Kosmos, right next to the metro station with the same name. Other off-campus buildings include the neoclassical Hill building in Plaka, which houses the International Relations Institute and the Media Lab, as well as a renovated apartment in Gyzi, for the teaching needs of the Psychology Department.
