Sciences Po now offers a selective one-semester English-language journalism program for exchange students. It is taught by professional journalists based in Paris who work for TIME Magazine, Reuters and other top news organizations. The program, for about 15 students, consists of two news-writing workshops per week that provide a thorough grounding in the basic techniques of reporting and writing the news. Students also attend three lectures per week together with other Sciences Po students that give historical background, conceptual tools and the critical perspectives needed to understand and analyze issues related to contemporary journalism. Please find further information on the Sciences Po website: http://www.sciences-po.fr/formation/cycle1/autres_programmes/journalisme.htm Please note that you will have to nominate your students at the following address: http://echange.sciences-po.fr/ and your students will need to select journalism as their chosen discipline. Applications will then be reviewed by the Sciences Po School of Journalism at the beginning of November and students will be informed of their acceptance at the end of November. Any student who is not accepted to the journalism programme for exchange students will of course be able to follow the regular undergraduate exchange programme.
